ARTSIT INFORMATION
Policies & process.
Plain-language information for families about safety, booking estimates, payment, and ArtSit services.
SAFETY & TRUST
A thoughtful process for every family.
Before an ArtSitter can be assigned to a family, ArtSit reviews their application, interviews them, reviews references, verifies identity and required documentation, and confirms their agreement to ArtSit’s policies and expectations. When applicable, we also review available TrustLine or background-check information.
Before confirming an assignment, ArtSit considers the children’s ages, care needs, requested activity, location, pets, employee experience, training, and availability. We want parents to understand the process, ask questions, and feel comfortable with the ArtSitter selected for their family.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
Know the terms before you confirm.
Cancellation and rescheduling terms are presented before payment and included with the session confirmation.
Any refund, credit, cancellation charge, or rescheduling option follows the terms accepted for that specific session. Contact ArtSit as soon as possible when plans change.
BOOKING POLICY
Keep ArtSit sessions coordinated through ArtSit.
Sessions introduced or coordinated through ArtSit must continue to be requested, confirmed, invoiced, and paid through ArtSit.
Families should not pay an ArtSitter directly or ask an ArtSitter to provide an ArtSit service outside the company. Keeping communication, payment, support, and documentation connected to the booking helps ArtSit manage the care relationship responsibly.
FAMILY INFORMATION
Clear information supports a smoother session.
Families are responsible for providing accurate contact, care, household or hotel, scheduling, allergy, support, pet, and emergency information before a session.
A family may request a preferred ArtSitter, but ArtSit makes the final assignment based on suitability and availability. ArtSit may propose a different team member or decline a request that cannot be staffed safely.
ESTIMATES & NOTICE
Request an estimate for your session.
No monthly membership required. Every booking is reviewed individually, and you’ll receive a personalized estimate before confirming your session. Activity kits and materials are optional and priced separately.
Please request sessions at least 48 hours in advance. Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to availability. Any applicable charges will be included in the estimate and disclosed before payment.
PRIVACY
How submitted information is used.
Information submitted to ArtSit is used to respond to inquiries, coordinate sessions, make assignments, review employment applications, communicate with families and employees, and maintain necessary business records.
The session request asks for brief allergy, accessibility, or support information needed for initial matching. Please do not include detailed diagnoses, identification numbers, payment-card information, or extensive medical records. ArtSit will arrange an appropriate method for any additional information that is needed.
SQUARE PAYMENT PROCESS
Confirmation and payment.
After availability and session details are confirmed, ArtSit sends the family a personalized estimate followed by an itemized Square invoice.
A requested session is not confirmed until the required payment has been completed and ArtSit has sent the final confirmation.
ACTIVITY KIT ORDERS
Made-to-order preparation and pickup.
ArtSit activity kits are prepared after payment is received. Please allow 5–7 business days for standard kits and 7–10 business days for premium or specialty kits. Rush availability is not guaranteed.
An activity kit requested for a sitting session must be selected and paid for within the applicable preparation window. Pickup orders are available by appointment after ArtSit sends a ready-for-pickup confirmation.
If required materials become unavailable, ArtSit may offer a suitable substitution, additional preparation time, or a refund. Any substitution will be discussed with the customer before it is used.
An order may be canceled for a full refund before ArtSit purchases its materials. Once materials have been purchased for the order, cancellation requests are reviewed according to costs already incurred and the terms provided before payment. ArtSit will correct damaged, defective, or missing kit materials reported promptly after pickup.
